I'm fundraising for...

Hi all

We are back again for 2024!!!

Education is progressive and ongoing, so fundraising for it should be too.

I am running 84km overnight, over that mountain again, coast-to-coast across Bali again, yep, Lovina to Canggu, to help lift-up a disadvantaged community, with the award-winning Bali Children Foundation.

We are all on this earth together, and we all have the same basic needs, and some of us need a bit more help than others, and we are in a position to help. 

Trust me if I had the funds of Twiggy Forrest or Gina Rinehart, I'd fix the situation there tomorrow. But instead I'm lucky to have a strong set of legs, my old mans running genes, and an awesome group of friends like you, who have some spare change to make a massive difference.  

Australians love Bali, we all head there and have an amazing holiday experience in our favourite tourist centres, but what a lot of us don't realise is that literally just next door to these crowded and popular destinations, are some very poor communities, who are completely disconnected form the tourist industry, that really get left behind. Its those communities that my efforts, and your donations will be impacting massively.

Working in a hotel, to make your holiday experience amazing, is literally a dream job to a Balinese child, but they cannot get there without an education. 

WHY WE DO THIS:

Amazingly; the beneficiaries of our run, and the job they can receive from their education, will allow them and their families, to progress from having a family income of under $100 a month, to $400 a month. These children then go on to teaching their younger siblings English, to help them get a job, so if you imagine this story repeating itself dozens of times, in a small community, within a short period - the human scale is absolutely massive. They get a better standard of living, better health outcomes, and the knowledge of the importance of education to those in their community. Something those of us in 1st world countries take for granted. 

It is these communities, that my efforts, and your donations, can have a lasting impact on, for generations to come.
