About a year ago i saw a talk with Jesse Itzlers saying there is an ancient Japanese ritual called a MISOGI. You do one defining thing each year.Something scary something hard, something you're proud of.it DEFINES your year.So in 2023 i started running and took me outside my comfort zone as have never done this before. I made some progress and finished a few races along the way. Then I stumbled upon this race and you have to be willing to give back in order to be a part of. Selfless acts is what life is all about and helping out people who have less then yourself. I'm lucky to have the support around me, from my son who will be crewing and making sure his Dad has what i need at the aid stations, the rest of my Family. Also my work peeps who i have been apart of for over 23 years, they seem more excited about me doing this then me, or maybe just happy to get rid of me for a few weeks, all jokes aside, whatever you can give would be a blessing. Also its worth mentioning that i'm the only Canadian signed up for this, seems crazy but true, to say in this big world I'm the only one, pretty legit.
