In May, I am running a double marathon (84km), overnight, across Bali and with your help I aim to lift-up disadvantaged communities through the Bali Children Foundation. BCF work tirelessly in the pursuit to uplift regions of Bali affected by poverty, bringing education to children's lives, which is a vital part of a child's development and paves the way for a brighter future for each child & their families.
As a young adult, I am now understanding just how fortunate we are in Australia for all the amenities we have and take for granted; education being one of them. This is my opportunity to be part of meaningful change & make an impact to communities that do it way tougher than we do in Australia.
Join me in making a difference to a place we all know and love.
By donating you will provide:
- Complete classroom upgrades.
Rundown/old/damaged into brand new learning spaces.
- Sanitary upgrades to wet areas.
Clean water supply, soap & handwashing facilities. As well as safe drinking
water fountains.
- Multimedia equipment for interactive
learning. Tablets, TV's, computers. These are vital to fastrack their
literacy, numeracy and english skills. 3 vital skills needed for
employment!
- Stationary, books, uniforms, sporting equipment.
- Career expo's to interact with potential
employers.
- School grounds upgrades. The
schools are originally surfaced in dirt in the play areas; combine this with
the amount of rain (which brings all sorts of nasty bugs) it makes for a dirty
and unhygienic place to play. The grounds are surfaced with concrete, waste
collection systems, trees, plants, new playground equipment are all installed
to make these spaces safe and inviting.
As well as all these material things your money goes towards, there’s a whole lot more that make positive impact on the children - routine, a vision, hope, discipline, friendship, learning, playing, happiness, memories; among others!
Instead of working on the family rice farm from age 5, your support will bring these children into a classroom and kickstart their journey to proper employment.
