Call me crazy, but... On the 27th May I will be running 84km across the island of Bali through the night - my first crack at an ultra marathon.
It's gonna be a wild ride! A life changing adventure. An emotional, mental and physical challenge like I have never known, and I cant wait
I will join 30 other runners from around the globe, united by the common goal of making a difference to the impoverished Tamariki (children) of Bali.
Please help me to achieve my target of raising $5000 for this incredible charity and its work
The Bali Children Foundation helps thousands of children to complete school, to find employment, and to improve their lives and the life of their community
Starting in 2002, BCF has worked one village at a time to help poor, remote or disaster impacted villages. After identifying a village with disadvantaged families, our local staff members work together with the village leaders to introduce families to BCF and the opportunities our scholarships and curriculum provide.
WHY? There are some strong motivators that have held me accountable along this training journey, and that will carry me across that finish line.
Personal Achievement - Pushing myself and taking on challenges isn’t something new to me.
I’m familiar with getting uncomfortable and I’m not afraid to try things I’ve never done before.
There is no better feeling that completing something you never thought you could do.
That being said - it rarely gets easier. It never gets less uncomfortable. It never becomes less challenging. But it’s all apart of the process.
The fear never stops me. And it never will.
It's the biggest challenge I've ever taken on. And I can already taste the satisfaction that comes with pushing myself to these limits.
But beyond this - I get to show other people what’s possible.
Heck - who knows if I’ll cross the finish line or not.
I’m doing everything I can to make sure I do. But it’s never a given.
Tully - My Son is 10 months old and alot changed when he came along. Lack of sleep, sure. More love than I’ve ever known, definitely. But what changed more than anything, was my desire to show him, not just tell him - that anything is achievable.

In 2023, the Bali Hope Children’s Foundation are prioritising:
- Remedial literacy programs for grades 1-3
- STEM - science, technology, engineering and maths funding for high school children
- Laptop portal from year 9 students to learn coding and computer skills
Skills and programs that are standard and commonplace in Australia and New Zealand.
